A bit about Dr. Bendlin
Dr. Ashley Bendlin grew up in Buffalo, NY cheering on the Buffalo Bills and shoveling snow. She received her bachelor's degrees at the University of Buffalo, prior to attending Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in Ithaca, NY and completing her doctorate in veterinary medicine.
After veterinary school, Dr. Bendlin completed a one-year small animal rotating internship in medicine and surgery at a busy private practice just outside of Boston, MA. She was then fortunate enough to start a three-year residency in Comparative Ophthalmology at the Ohio State University learning to care for the eyes of large and small animals alike. During her residency, Dr. Bendlin simultaneously completed a master's degree, studying the use of Next-Generation Sequencing in diagnosing causative agents of infectious ulcerative keratitis in dogs and horses.
When not at work, Dr. Bendlin enjoys spending time with her fiancé, two cats, and family dogs. She also enjoys reading, hiking, camping, and exploring the country’s national and state parks.
