A bit about Dr. Pagano

Dr. Candace Pagano got into veterinary medicine for the love of animals and for her fascination for the art of medicine. She attended veterinary school at Oklahoma State University before interning at the Carolina Veterinary Specialists’ Animal Cancer Care Clinic and completing her residency at Louisiana State University.

All through vet school, Dr. Pagano thought she would pursue emergency care, but the love and compassion she saw while on her Oncology rotation encouraged her to change her path with no question. She feels called to give hope to parents who unconditionally love their sweet, four-legged kids.

Clinically, she’s particularly interested in improving our ability to diagnose and treat canine and feline cancer.

Outside of work, Dr. Pagano spends time absorbing the beauty and peace of the mountains and sea in the PNW. She loves heading to local parks with her kids, playing soccer, and riding bikes together. She has two dogs, Hank the Tank and Velma Kelly. Hank is a beautiful big brindle greyhound. Velma is a gentle giant, Irish Wolfhound. They’re best friends and support each other, especially when they’re scared.
