Summit Veterinary Referral Center is hiring Full time or Part time Veterinary Technicians for our specialty departments

We are seeking skilled and driven LVTs to help our team continue to provide the best medicine and patient care available. Our technicians serve as an aid to our Specialists and work to assist in triaging compromised patients, conducting exams, running and monitoring surgical procedures, performing patient care, etc. Summit is perfect for someone who thrives in working in a fast-paced environment, is detail oriented and would like to expand their knowledge and technical skills.

Your role may include, but is not limited to the following:

  • Proper handling and restraint of neurologically compromised patients

  • Triage and intake skills/TPR 

  • Critical thinking in emergency setting

  • IV catheter placement and blood collection

  • Assist with surgical procedures 

  • Monitor, induce, maintain and recover patients undergoing anesthetic procedures

  • Drug calculations and injections of controlled medication

  • Monitor and provide nursing care and treatment to hospitalized patients

  • In-house lab work

  • Assist with advanced imaging (X-ray/CT/MRI/U/S)

 Who YOU are:

  • Experience in specialty medicine preferred, but we are willing to train the right person

  • Prior veterinary experience required

  • Current WA state veterinary technician license

  • Ability to think critically and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Great communication skills

  • Team player, detail oriented, reliable, dependable, trustworthy
