We offer shift differentials for overnight shifts

We are searching for motivated Emergency Veterinary Technicians to join our exceptional team at Summit Veterinary Referral Center. From vaccine reactions and bite wounds to  critical care cases that require extensive nursing care, our 24×7 Emergency department is there.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Assist the Emergency department in the triage of patients according to their illness severity.

• Administer subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous medications and understand potential adverse effects of medications

• Set-up, monitor, and administer intravenous fluid therapy including constant rate infusions and blood transfusion therapy

• Be trained to properly perform all aspects of CPR

• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot oxygen cages and other oxygen administration techniques

• Perform advanced vascular access techniques including jugular catheter placement, sampling line placement, central line placement, and arterial catheterization

• radiology

• anesthesia monitoring

• physical examinations and patient assessment

• Collect samples and perform diagnostic tests including in-house & point-of-care tests and diagnostic imaging

  • Veterinary Experience: at least 1 year (Required)
