Dr. Mike Weh

Dr. Michael Weh is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. He holds a
DVM from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine and an AB from Harvard College. He
completed his internship at Cornell University, and surgery residency at Tufts University/Angell
Animal Medical Center.

Dr. Weh’s clinical interests include degenerative and developmental conditions of joints and
ligaments (including CrCL injury, elbow dysplasia, hip dysplasia), orthopedic trauma and
fracture repair, degenerative and traumatic diseases of the spinal cord, minimally-invasive
orthopedic and soft tissue surgery (arthroscopy and laparoscopy), oncologic and trauma-related
skin and reconstructive surgery, and general surgery. He has published scientific articles and
book chapters on these subjects. Dr. Weh has held faculty and instructor positions at the
University of Georgia (USA) and Massey University (NZ), and has practiced in the Puget Sound
region since 2015. He continues to enjoy teaching, and regularly presents at professional
workshops and meetings in the US and abroad.

For Dr. Weh, the most rewarding aspect of his work is making a meaningful difference in the
lives of animals and their pet parents. He enjoys building relationships with clients and helping
them to find the right solutions for their pets’ problems, during what is often a stressful time in
their lives. He strongly believes in the power of listening to clients, and addressing concerns by
providing accurate information and treatment options, to arrive at a plan that works for pets and
their human companions.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Weh enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest on foot, ski, or bike.
