A bit about Dr. Denny
Dr. Nicole Denny grew up surrounded by very loved pets and farm animals, which gave her an early appreciation for the human-animal bond. She attended veterinary school at University of Missouri and trained as an ER doctor at VSS in St. Louis, choosing to pursue emergency medicine because she’s passionate about helping animals and people when they need it the most. Plus, she loves the variety of cases she sees day to day. While her expertise spans the range of needs presented by emergency medicine, she’s particularly interested in toxin exposures, immune mediated disorders, wounds/trauma, and gastrointestinal health.
Dr. Denny loves being surrounded by waterfront and mountains, and was drawn to the PNW by the hiking, kayaking, and fun cities in the area. She has 3 senior pets: Ruca, a pitbull mix, and her two cats Oliver and Delilah. Ruca loves everyone who is willing to snuggle her or give her treats. She had a very severe illness with meningitis when she was young, but with the help of Summit staff, she was able to get her into remission and give her many more fantastic years. Oliver and Delilah’s favorite activities are snuggling, sleeping, and demanding snacks.
