Summit Veterinary Referral Center is hiring a Surgical Recovery Technician for our Surgery department

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and driven Surgical Recovery Technician for our post-operative patients for our 6 Surgeon Practice. Your main objective will be to provide excellent post-operative care while monitoring patients for any complications.

Responsibilities:

• Proper handling of medically compromised patients

• Critical thinking in an emergency setting

• Work closely with the surgery and emergency team to ensure proper pain management and nursing care during the recovery process

• Assist with post-op recovery of surgical procedures including soft tissue, orthopedic, oncologic, and minimally invasive

 

Operations:

• Surgery operates 6 days per week and shifts are 7a-7p

• On-call shift coverage is 7 days/wk

• 1 on-call shift per week Required

• 1 scheduled weekend shift per week Required

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will have experience in specialty medicine, but we are willing to train the right person.

• Current WA state veterinary technician license or a Veterinary Assistant with a minimum of 3 years surgery recovery veterinary experience will be considered.

• You must possess the ability to think critically and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, have great communication skills, be a team player, detail-oriented, reliable, dependable, and trustworthy.

Benefits:

• Hourly pay range- $24.00 - $32.00 depending on experience

• Shift differential for any shift hours worked within 6p-6am $3/hr Mon-Thurs and $5/hr Fri-Sun
