Veterinary Training and Development Manager

Summit Veterinary Referral Center is hiring a Veterinary Learning and Development Manager

​

Job Summary: As a Training & Development Manager (TDM), you will serve as a leader of Summit team training and development programs. The TDM is a critical role for our team setting the bar for embodying the Summit culture and overseeing our floor supervisor support staff. The TDM is responsible for designing and developing instructional materials and assessment tools to support learning programs for Summit support staff team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Create content and deliver content to floor supervisors

  • Develop and maintain scalable and role specific onboarding training and continuing education development programs for staff members

  • Evaluate team members ability to apply their training, culture conduct, and role based knowledge through a quality control system using feedback, assessments, leadership feedback, etc. 

  • Provide department managers, floor supervisors, support staff with applicable mentoring and continued development training as needed to support their work potential and to meet performance expectations. 

  • Communicate with department managers on the ongoing training assessments of the floor supervisors and support staff, both for onboarding and continuing education, including role advancement progress.

  • Maintain training records

  • Display behaviors consistent with Summit’s operating principles and Summit culture.

    • Presentation and computer skills are necessary. 

    • Must be a team player willing to teach new techniques and accept  change

    • Facilitation skills

    • Ownership of training program

Education and Experience: 

  • College or college-equivalent education as required in becoming a Registered, Licensed, or Certified Veterinary Technician preferred 

  • Computer:

    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as word processing and spreadsheet software.

    • Ability and willingness to learn our practice management software (Instinct), and to perform clerical work with speed and accuracy.

    • Proficient in google platform as well.

Benefits:

  • Compensation: $75,000-$90,000 annually DOE
